Daycare

This week Cooper started daycare at our friend Brianne's house. She stays at home with her daughter and offered to also take care of Cooper. I don't have any worries leaving him with her, which made coming back to work so much easier. I miss him like CRAZY, but I have to work so I'm accepting that. The other "update" is Cooper's new internal clock. He seems to think that the time to get up for the day is between 3:30 and 4am. He doesn't cry when he wakes up at this time, he just wants a bottle and then lays in bed and makes noise. Mom and dad need to sleep, so we have been letting him talk and fall back asleep for another hour or so. No other big updates right now...just adjusting to the new routine for all of us!

Whew!

I would be lying if I said I was looking forward to going back to work. I've thought a million and one reasons why I shouldn't- the first of those of course being Cooper. BUT I am indeed heading back in a little over a week. So with that in mind, I'm going to go put my little boy in bed and enjoy just being at home with him!

Say cheese! Here are some of our favorite photos from Cooper's "photo shoot". Photos by Scott Haraldson Photography

Slacker

I'm really slacking in the blog department. Which can only mean I am busy being a mom. :) Cooper turned 7 weeks old yesterday. He is wearing his 3 month size clothes now and staying awake for longer periods of time during the day. He enjoys watching hockey and football with his dad and uncle(s) and REALLY loves taking naps with me. Too bad he's the only one napping. We should have our photos back soon and will post them right away. AND...the biggest news of all? I'm an aunt!! My brother Mike and his wife Delayne welcomed Alexander Michael on December 4 th . He has lots of dark hair and apparently has the same hair cowlick as his dad. We can't wait to meet him during Christmas!

More pictures to come.... :)

4 Weeks Old

Today Cooper and I are baking cupcakes and making beef wellington to help celebrate his 4 week birthday. I think he thought the party was supposed to begin this morning at 3am... I gently reminded him that it would not start until Kevin got home after work. The party is going to consist of us eating the beef and cupcakes and Cooper enjoying a bottle of formula and a bath. Happy Birthday my little prince!

18 days old

Today Cooper and I went to his first doctor appointment for a check up. Here are his stats: Weight: 10lbs 14oz 90-95% Height: 23 3/8" 97% Head: 15 1/4" 75-90% Our pediatrician was quite happy at Cooper's weight gain...and I think surprised at just how MUCH he has gained in just over two weeks. He gave him an A plus for our visit.
